Staff Accountant
Denise has prepared complex tax returns for Torkelson & Associates since 2013. Denise brings more than fifteen years of experience in the preparation of individual, fiduciary, estate, gift, and charitable tax returns. Denise works on other projects as well, such as foreign tax issues, cryptocurrencies, multi-state tax returns, and court accountings. Denise now oversees all 1099s each January. If a client does not live locally, Denise will work with clients via email or office tool secured portal link. Here at Torkelson’s, Denise thrives and grows through continuing education, research, and working with the partners or CPAs.
Denise grew up in Chico, California, and went to UC Santa Barbara. She works both remotely from home and in the office. It is a commute, but she feels that if Torkelson’s is an extraordinary firm to work for, a beautiful landscape commute is worth it. When Denise is not at work, she is creating lifetime memories with her family, whether at home playing Legos with her sons or hiking with her family.
